Employment:
(2003 - Current): Drivetime Presenter - KM-fm for Thanet - KM Radio Limited
Presenting a daily 5 hour Drivetime programme, included developing the
programme to enhance the station. With both increases in hours and reach
(RAJAR). Using Master Control and Cool Edit / Adobe Audition on a daily
basis. As well as this there was various cover shifts including Breakfast
cover and cross network programmes. Originally based at KM-fm for West
Kent, I was at first presenting a weekend network programme that went
to a number of different stations. Had to develop a programme to fit in
with the station style and format. Learnt Barrcode software “BCX
Playout” and “Brian Digital Editing” for voice tracking.
Other responsibilities included development of the networks websites
and online presence in the TSA's for each station.
(2001 - 2003): Production Manager and Drivetime/Chart Show Presenter
– Power FM/CRN Radio Broadcasting, Tenerife
Recording and digital editing of all non-live on air material including
Local News and Sports. Webmaster for CRN websites for the stations in
the network. Developing all marketing and branding material for the station,
liaising with local press for advertising deals. Training presenters and
assisting broadcast support in the live studio and in the transmission
departments. Developing and presenting a daily Drivetime programme and
preparing and presenting the weekly CRN chart show.
Work Experience:
1999-2001: Bay Radio – Aberystwyth University Student Radio –
Programme Manager and Presenter
Scheduling programmes on a weekly basis and overseeing news and music
teams. Ensuring station output met with the rules and regulations of the
Broadcasting Act 1996 and with the quality controls set by myself and
the programme producers. Dealing with radio authority on licence details
and with University bodies regarding the station.
2001: 1st Assistant Director – “Storm” – Mynzie
Films
First assistant director on a 35mm short cinema release. Dealt with traffic
movements and full organisational element of production facilities on
location, including dealing with special effects personnel and with actors
and crew.
2001: Digital Camera operator
Digital camera operator and editor for a short digital film. Worked on
Sony D.V. cameras and ES3 edit suites.
2000: 1st Assistant Director – “Against the Dying of the
Light” – SGRIN (Media agency for Wales)
First assistant director on a 16mm short cinema release. Dealt with traffic
movements and full organisational element of production facilities on
location, including dealing with special effects personnel and with actors
and crew.
Activities and Interests:
In my spare time I enjoy music and watch television and go to the Cinema.
I also enjoy swimming, golf, rugby and motor sports in both participation
and as an observer.
Clean Current Driving Licence
I lived in Tenerife for nearly 2 1/2 years and have basic Spanish and
French language skills.
